Sammie Walker has joined Dallas-based mobile security provider Zimperium as Chief Marketing Officer.
Zimperium, a mobile security platform purpose-built for enterprise environments, said Walker was responsible for driving growth and awareness of Zimperium’s mobile security platform. Zimperium’s mobile security platform scales to provide organizations around the world with protection against the growing volume and severity of mobile threats.
“Mobile devices have become the focus of cybercriminals. There was a 466% increase in zero-day vulnerabilities exploited in active attacks against mobile endpoints last year. It’s not just mobile endpoints either: 42% of organizations report rogue apps and resources have accessed corporate data,” said Shridhar Mittal, CEO of Zimperium, in a statement. “Sammie is the perfect person to join our leadership team as CMO as Zimperium enters a phase of high growth to help more organizations protect against the growing threats to their endpoints and applications. To support its growth, Zimperium said it continues to invest in its team and leadership following its $525 million acquisition by Liberty Strategic Capital last year.
