Police responded to shootings near 40th and Custer in Milwaukee on Tuesday, September 27, according to the criminal complaint. “Her defendant threatened her and locked her car,” the woman told police.
The woman told investigators she was driving from her home around 3:45 p.m. Tuesday when she noticed Griffin in the middle of the street, saying, “The defendant was waiting for her. The argument escalated when the woman parked on the driver’s side of Griffin’s car. Did you say you ran? I’ll kill you (expletive)’. “That’s when the defendant started firing a handgun into the windshield of her car,” her complaint reads.

“I believe the defendant fired a total of about nine shots into her vehicle,” the woman said. During this time, the woman “felt an itching/burning sensation in her right shoulder and realized she had been grazed.”
According to the complaint, police spoke with the person who filmed the latter part of the incident on cell phone video.
When questioned by police, Griffin “stated that he confronted[the woman]and nearly hit her with a car. Griffin first appeared in Milwaukee County Courthouse on Friday, September 30. His cash bond was set at his $7,500. Griffin is scheduled to return to court for a preliminary hearing on October 10.
