Meta Discriminates Against Black Creators isn’t new. As one of the world’s most popular digital platforms, it has recently been embroiled in controversy for its systematic discrimination against Black creators. Our Experience
First we would like to start with our on experience with Facebook and its policies. Meta Discriminates Against Black Creators has directly affect this magazine and its bottomline. Meta Unfairly attacks the owner account and the Business pages owned as well. We were recently unpublished for sharing a post about a local creator who died on February 17th 2023. After Sharing the post to several groups and getting 1000+ engagements and 7k view Facebook then suspended the page and said we were sharing irrelevant content.
The Facts about the situation are we had a spike of 200 views in Traffic to our own independent site where Facebook cannot pay us less than pennies on the dollar for views and web traffic. This after we spent thousands of dollars building our following to help our business grow. This is a agregious conflict of interest on Facebooks part.
