Months after calling out in support of the “Pushin P” rapper’s release, Meek Mill unfollowed Gunna on Instagram.
Gunna doesn’t seem to have been welcomed back into the industry as he expected. Just five days after Gunna’s “I’m Back” post on Instagram garnered over a million likes, the rapper has lost some of his followers.
From Young Thug’s sister HiDoraah, to top artists such as Lil Baby, who collaborated with Gunna before his arrest, to Meek Mill, who now unfollows Gunna.
Unfollowing isn’t the only backlash Gunna has received since accepting a plea bargain and being released. The rapper is seemingly hated by his fellow YSL her labelmate Lil Gotit and most recently Lil Durk. In the newly released snippet, Dirk looks like he shot Gunna at the next bar. Dirk and Gunna have both previously collaborated on the song “What Happened To Virgil”, and many believe Durchio is actually overshadowed.
Meek Mill’s unfollowing of Gunna comes months after the Philadelphia rapper fully supported the Atlanta artist. Meek also called for bail for all those involved in the incident.
Gunna was able to return home in December after accepting a plea bargain. others have not accepted it. Footage recorded by someone in court of Gunna accepting his plea bargain didn’t help either.
In a recent interview with VLAD TV, Tony Yayo tends to agree. “I think it was a big blow when people saw it on camera,” Yayo said in the six-minute clip. Yes, ma’am, mother, please have a sports day with it.
