Milwaukee marijuana trade shooting. 1 dead, 1 on life support
Prosecutors have admitted that a Milwaukee man opened fire on a car during an altercation over the price of marijuana and robbed the man at a gas station about 45 minutes later.

Prosecutors say Scott was put on a ventilator — on life support at a hospital. Scott’s father told FOX6 News his son has a long way to go in his recovery.
22-year-old Richard Lewis faces five felony charges:
- 1st degree reckless murder, use of dangerous weapons
- 1st Degree Reckless Injury, Use of Dangerous Weapons
- First degree reckless behavior endangering safety, use of dangerous weapons
- possession of a firearm by a felon
- armed robbery
Prosecutors say they found eight 9mm shells in or near the victim’s vehicle.
Surveillance revealed that the shooter, whom prosecutors say was Lewis, was dropped off in a Jetta. He then sat on the steps of a nearby house until the vehicle carrying the victims arrived. The video showed a conversation between Lewis and the people inside the Jetta before it took off. Prosecutors say Lewis chased the vehicle with a gun pointed. Children playing nearby ran away, the video showed.
Investigators have seen text messages exchanged between Lewis and one of the victims. According to prosecutors, when Lewis texted him and gave him his address, the victim said, “I’m on my way,” and then, “I’m out.”
The prosecutor’s complaint alleges that Lewis, who was under DOC surveillance via a GPS surveillance bracelet, tampered with the device and that it was turned off an hour before the shot was fired.

Lewis admitted to shooting, according to the complaint. He told investigators that he had arranged to purchase marijuana from a seller he found online, and there was an argument after this seller demanded a higher price than the agreed upon price. Prosecutors said phone records showed Lewis and the Jetta driver were together at the murder scene and gas station. The driver is named in court documents but has not been formally charged.
Ke’waun Scott suffered serious shooting injuries in rehab
Scott was shot multiple times and survived, but remains in rehab. His father said his son was awake, but he hadn’t spoken a word since.
“He’s a fighter,” Panton-Scott said of his son. “He’s coded at least seven times. He’s a very strong man. When he came into this world, he was fighting. “
Pantone-Scott said it was grateful that the arrest had been made and that it “did not become a cold case.”
Panton-Scott said, “I was very concerned that the person might have harmed someone else’s family by just doing whatever he did.” I didn’t want anyone else to go through the same pain as I did.”
With his son in rehab taking a long time to recover, Scott created a GoFundMe.com account to help cover his son’s growing medical bills.
“I want the best for him,” said Panton-Scott. “I want to be able to take care of him.”
Lewis made his first appearance in court on Tuesday, December 26. His cash bond was set at his $250,000.
