A New Yorker lost his life after defecation on the subway tracks in Manhattan. He fell off the platform while urinating and was run over by an oncoming vehicle.
The NYPD said the incident occurred around 1:30 am on Tuesday, Jan. 24 at the Broadway Lafayette Street station in the city’s Soho neighborhood.
According to the Daily News, the conductor was operating the F line of the A line downtown. In New York City, it is not uncommon for MTA subway trains to switch at night.
The victim, who has not been named, started urinating on the railroad tracks before losing his balance and falling. He was then tragically and fatally hit by a train and died on the spot.
The MTA is taking steps to detect people peeing on and around trains.
