Richmond, TX (KTRK) — Police are seeking help in finding the man who shot and killed a person at a Richmond business.
The shooting occurred around 12:30 pm on Tuesday in the 300 block of the South 9th Ward. Police were called to the area after reports of an armed robbery in progress. At the scene, police found a man with a gunshot wound on the floor of the store, but police did not specify which store this took place.

Witnesses told police that someone entered the store, demanded property, and shot the victim. The suspect then robbed the victim and the business before fleeing.
The Richmond Fire Department and Fort Bend County EMS also responded to help the victim, but he died from his injuries.
The suspect was described as a slim-built black man. He was described as being about 6 feet 3 inches and wearing khaki pants, an orange safety vest, and a shirt of an unknown color. He also wore a mask, gloves, helmet and sunglasses.
The victim’s name has not been released at this time, police said.
