Visalia, California (KFSN) — A man was jailed this week for breaking into several businesses in downtown Visalia.
Police said Timothy Bethell, 31, robbed a store on Wednesday.
Visalia Mayor Steve Nelson said, “It costs money to do business anyway, and when you add in this complexity, you have no means of getting your money back. Yeah, that hurts.
Officers first attended SPs Burgers at approximately 12:50 am, followed by nearby Visalia Bible Fellowship at 1:32 am.
Both had broken glass, but nothing was stolen.
About an hour later, police arrived at Tri-Counties Bank on West Main Street and found Bethel trying to leave the bank with items through a broken window.
“Upon meeting the police, the suspect Bethel dropped his property and ran into the bank. Art Alvarez.
During the investigation, officers say they discovered Bethel was also involved in three additional robberies on the same night, at the Provoke Salon, Blended Wine, and Crescent Valley Charter School.
According to the owner of Provoke Salon, it has been seven years since it opened.
The front door was shattered and is now covered with boards.
It will take time to replace it, and the cost will be borne by me, but I decided to write this estimate for the time being.

Officers linked Bethel to another robbery at the Barrel House Brewing Company on Tuesday, Sergeant Alvarez said.
Nelson said he was grateful that police were able to find the suspect so quickly and hoped the downtown area would never be affected like this again.
Bethel is currently in a pretrial facility. He was booked on multiple counts of commercial robbery, vandalism, resisting arrest, and violating probation.
