The Maine Center for Entrepreneurs, along with its partners the Lewiston Auburn Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and the Harold Alphond Institute for Business Innovation at Thomas College, announced Thursday the 32 companies selected for the Top Gun 2023 class. According to program manager Laurie Johnson’s news release, the Top Gun program began in 2009 with 12 of his companies, and over the years he’s worked with more than 300 Maine entrepreneurs to help companies launched, grew and scaled.
Selected entrepreneurs went through a rigorous and competitive selection process that included business pitches and one-on-one interviews. Enrolling entrepreneurs will be matched with mentors before the program launches in early February. Over the course of the 15-week program, staff and mentors guide them through ‘hands-on’ training and group study exercises taught by experts in the fields of finance and business.
