Business colleges and schools nationwide incorporate executive-level experience, knowledge, and best practices into their curricula through the Executive Residence Program. Lynn University leadership carefully hand-selects each member of the Executive-in-Residence program based on matching criteria and the university’s specific needs at a particular point in the academic timeline. The executive can then teach a dedicated course, contribute as a guest speaker to her, or share her business best practices with students.
Prior to Lynn, he was an attorney and CEO of large and complex health care systems in Pennsylvania and Florida. Thanks to his extensive background, Fedele is uniquely qualified to bring real-world experience to Lynn students.
After retiring in 2019, Lynn asked Fedele to join the Young Executives in Residence program and he happily accepted. I was drawn to the idea of being able to connect with and mentor aspiring young students.
“This opportunity seemed very interesting,” says Fedele. “I love teaching and as a former executive, I knew I could bring a different perspective and way of thinking to my students that they are not usually familiar with.”
Fedele teaches several courses at Lynn. This includes an apex seminar in strategic management for MBA programs, an apex strategy course for undergraduate business students, and some undergraduate courses.
“In addition to the specific subjects covered in class, my course focuses on connecting those academic materials with current events,” says Fedele. “I also talk about everything I have seen in my career that has helped people succeed. We talk about how to ensure we create the best opportunities for
Fedele’s body of work at Lynn has led many students to reach out to dormitory executives outside the classroom to provide insight and guidance as they navigate their careers. Throughout the course, Fedele introduces his philosophy for student growth and development.
