Aspiring entrepreneurs pitch their business ideas in a Shark Tank-like format tonight at the Parco Sinclair Theater. Impact 307 Carbon County Startup Challenge Pitch Night finalists pitch their business startup plans to a panel of local judges. The winner will receive seed her money to grow the business or product idea.
Audiences can vote for their favorites in real time using their mobile phones.
Impact 307 Assistant Director Monica Patton explained how her organization helps Carbon County residents achieve their business goals.

Impact 307 was accepting applications to participate in the Startup Challenge from September 6th to October 9th. Patton said his final four entrants were narrowed down from nearly 30 applicants.
According to the rules and regulations found on the Impact 307 website, applicants must be residents of Carbon County. The competition is open to individuals or teams of up to 5 people who are in the early stages of establishing their business. Patton said her organization provides consulting advice to applicants.
Patton said all judges have not yet been selected, but Impact 307 Senior Director Derek Jared will be among them. Impact 307’s assistant his director said the four finalists would be given a set amount of time to present their ideas.
Judges may choose one or all of the Contestants to award Seed Money. Attendees can also vote for their favorite sales pitch, Patton said.

Encampment River Glamping was also chosen to present business ideas to Impact 307 judges. Glamping, short for glamorous camping, usually offers more luxurious accommodations than typical campgrounds. Patton explained the business plan for Encampment River Glamping.
The Wandering Chef is another finalist for the Impact 307 investment fund. Patton said the business advises restaurants and individuals on food preparation.
The fourth finalist is Brewed Learning. The deputy director of Impact 307 explained the coffee-related business plan.
Patton said a jury will decide which startups will be awarded seed funding. If multiple companies are selected, the judges may split the prize appropriately. Impact 307’s assistant her director said the winner must follow any recommendations before receiving investment funds.
Pitch Night for the Impact 307 Carbon County Startup Challenge takes place tonight from 5-8pm at Sinclair’s Parco Theater.
