Itty
Supposed to celebrate progress and women’s rights, Lizzo launched a social media campaign titled “MY BODY IS NOBODY’S BUSINESS” through body-positive shapewear brand YITTY. No surprise, as the Roe v. Wade case would have marked his 50th anniversary had it not been irresponsibly overturned by the Supreme Court. Lizzo is not only a talented singer, flutist, dancer and songwriter, she is also an activist, using her own platform to speak up for those who cannot speak. Since 2020, her website Lizzoloveyou.com has been churning out resources for the Black Lives Matter movement following the death of George Floyd, most recently the June 2022 overturn of the Roe v. Wade case. Since then, it has also included information on women’s reproductive rights.
The three-time Grammy Award-winning singer is proud of YITTY. The brand is all about autonomy, body positivity and body protection, translated into clothing that makes you feel liberated in your body rather than trapped. With the “MY BODY IS NOBODY’S BUSINESS” campaign, Lizzo speaks out and uses her brand’s ethos side-by-side to protest that women and people with wombs are stuck without many options and raise her awareness. YITTY is all about options to choose from a variety of shapewear items and her sizes from 6X to XS for all body types.
YITTY is dedicated to making sure everyone who wears this item feels sexy, celebrated and made for them. Sustainability is another big brand advocate. We use 100% recycled materials in our packaging and 65% of our styles are made from soft fibres, ensuring complete transparency in our practices. We are also a carbon neutral company that Lizzo is proud of. Campaigns, brands and Lizzo all aim to restore reproductive rights and make choices.
