It may be the last week of the year, but you can still make a big impression. Email blasts/campaigns, texts, and newsletters (in addition to social media posts) can help you get in front of your ideal customers and keep them head over heels.
But these marketing tools require content. If you want fresh ideas, here are some. Any of these topics will work for most businesses if presented in an authentic way. Remember that 80% of your content should entertain, educate, or inspire. The 20% can be tailored to what you sell.
1. Favorite holiday recipes. Think New Year’s Eve finger food or party food.
2. Emphasize the staff’s favorite way to call the New Year.
3. If you close early, please post your holiday hours.
4. Share your solution or vote for your solution.
5. Tease your audience about your big New Year announcements or share your goals and what those new things mean to your audience.
6. Share New Year’s traditions from another culture.
7. Talk about future trends and predictions.
8. Reflect on your favorite event of the year and ask others to do the same, such as your favorite trip or favorite new restaurant.
9. Invite people to post the best things that happened in 2022.
10. Ask people what they are happy to leave behind in 2022.
11. Share your New Year’s wish or wish list.
12. Make a list of things you want to do and places you plan to go.
13. Tell me one thing you plan to learn more about this year. Please encourage others to do the same.
14. Listen to three words you plan to focus on in 2023.

16. Brainstorm new growth areas for your business and give your audience a feeler to see what they think of the idea. This is a great way to make your fans feel like they are contributing to your business.
17. Tell us about a struggle you faced in 2022 and how you overcame it.
18. Tell people what was happening in your industry (or town) in 1923. We are talking about all the changes of the last century or any other period.
19. Pronounce the ______ of the year.
20. Create and share your reading list for next year.
This time of year makes it even more important to think about entertainment when creating content. Most people don’t want heavy topics. They want to share something lighthearted and inspiring. Incorporate these into your editorial calendar for even greater engagement and a wider readership for 2023.
