MATTOON — Lakeland College selected 13 students from multiple applicants to participate in The Vibe for the 2022-23 academic year based on their passion for college and demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
Lakeland College has developed this Student Marketing Council, called The Vibe, to include the voice of students in the college’s marketing and communications materials.
2022-23 Vibe members include Brooke Benhoff of Ramsey, Carly Buckley of Rushville, Indiana, Darius Frazier of Chicago, Calista Heiser of Paris, Elfrieda Ijeasi of Nigeria, Kayla Jolie of Mason, Jordi Oliver from Buncombe, Conor Remlinger from Martinsville and Megan. (May) Russell of Mattoon, Stephanie Sample of Sullivan, Divine Songo of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Kinshasa, Emersonter of Leroy and Macy Waddil of Camp His Point.
“Vibe members are incredible individuals who tell the day-to-day experiences of the Lakers through their own eyes. and provide valuable feedback on marketing and communication strategies.
Students will serve as Lakeland social media influencers, creating authentic testimonials and social media content on the platform that resonate with their peers and potential students.

Born in the early 80s in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Delbert Williams II has always had a passion for writing. Even in high school, he earned excellent grades in English and writing classes. After attending John Marshall High School, he graduated from Project Stay Alternative High School in Milwaukee.
