Flint, Michigan – Kettering University has hired Jennifer Umberger, a professional in higher education with over 20 years of experience, as Vice President of Marketing and Communications.
Umberger is retired from Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania, serving as Vice President or Marking and Communications.
Kettering University President Robert K. McMahan said: “She has already established a track record as a creative and effective marketer and communicator. He will make a great contribution to the team.”
Umberger will develop and implement a marketing and communications strategy, according to a university news release.
“I am inspired by Kettering’s strategic focus on aligning academics, collaborative experiences and co-curricular engagement in a way that uniquely expresses the value of higher education and the return on investment students can expect. “I am honored to be responsible for the Kettering University story.”
Betsy Homsher, who served as Vice President of Marketing and Communications during the hiring process, will return as special assistant to McMahan.
