The festival will feature acts like Prodikal-1, singer Keely, rappers Tbreezy, Walkerboy and DJ Kapital J. Ngana Birrung (Dharug from “Black Star”). 3 nights in mid-February.
JK-47: “Healing”
The festival grew out of the 2022 Paramatta Nights event. The event featured artists such as Miiesha, Briggs and Dobby playing venues in West Sydney.
Parramatta Mayor Donna Davis said in a statement: “We are very proud of the Ngana Birrung concert series and excited to see it expand to reach wider audiences throughout Western Sydney. “It is important to provide a platform for developing, celebrating and highlighting incredibly talented Indigenous artists.”
Two of the three events are free and the other one is $5. See below for details.
JK-47 preparing to release new album Revision for regrowth at some point this year. The group was supposed to release an album and go on tour in October last year, but it was postponed due to “unforeseen circumstances”.
“Me and my team would like to thank everyone for their constant support throughout our journey so far,” he explained at the time. I forget to make time for myself and the things that got me down this path in the first place.”
The album follows on from their critically acclaimed debut in the 2020s. Made for this.
