The award annually recognizes a metropolitan professional woman who has distinguished herself in business, government or non-profit activities. All nominations should be made using the form below.
The deadline for nominations is Friday, February 3rd at 5pm.The winners are the May 2023 issue of Business report Awarded at an event in the same month. Before you nominate anyone, check out her list of past Influential Women in Business winners here to see who hasn’t been recognized yet.

Who qualifies?
The target is professional women who live and work in the metropolitan area.
What makes an influential woman in business?
We are looking for women in the metropolitan area who want to make themselves stand out and make an impact on others through their professional and community lives. , some previous Influential Women in Business winners have achieved success in a variety of fields, including politics, government, and non-profit organizations. they need to:
- Influential in a business or organization
- Strong reputation based on experience, leadership and integrity
- have clear professional and/or community achievements
- Building a recognizable and lasting initiative or change within or for a business or organization
How do I submit my nomination?
All nominations must be submitted through the online form below by 5:00 PM on February 3rd.
What do I need to submit a nomination?
To complete the nomination form, you must have:
- Candidate’s name, mobile phone number, email address, current position, home and work addresses
- A clear sense of why the candidate has influence professionally and/or in the community
- Basic resume information, including details of specific achievements and community participation
Do you have any advice for submitting nominations?
Nominations are judged by a panel of community and business leaders seeking information about winners who have made a significant impact on their business, organization, and community. Nominations that provide detailed information about a person, qualifications, or achievements and that include personal testimony of a candidate’s qualifications will take precedence over copies and pastes of the same content by multiple nominators.
Is it important to have multiple candidates?
Being an influential woman in business is not a popularity contest. Recipients are selected solely on the basis of their character, qualifications and achievements. Winners are most often selected on the basis of a single nomination that insists on recognition.
Will multiple candidates be considered from the same company or organization?
An entity can nominate multiple executives, but only one is elected.
How are the winners selected?
Recognized each year as Baton Rouge’s Influential Women in Business, the women are selected based in part on input from a secret panel of over 50 community leaders. The goal is to select a diverse list that is representative of the broad regional professional community.
Can someone be recognized more than once as an influential woman in business?
No. Woman of Business Influence is her one-time honor.
What is required of the selected person?
Winners must be available for interviews and photography. It is also important that they are able to attend the gala that recognizes the winners of the women of influence in business.
What is the deadline?
We will promptly stop accepting nominations at 5:00 pm on February 5th. Deadline exceptions are not allowed.
Can I fax, mail, or hand-deliver my letter of recommendation?
No. Recommendation by email, fax, mail or hand delivery unacceptableAll materials must be submitted via the online nomination form.
Can I save my nomination form and come back to it?
No. After you start a form, you must complete the form or fill out a new form at your convenience. We recommend that you view the form to familiarize yourself with the questions, write your answers offline, and then copy and paste them into the form to submit your nominations.
When will we know the winners?
The name of the winner will be announced at Business report When daily report featured in the May issue of Business reportTheir identities will remain a secret until then. They will also be recognized at a special event in May.
Can I see a list of past winners?
