Milwaukee — Two Wisconsin teams will compete in the 2023 International Snow Sculpture Championships in Breckenridge.
Team USA Wisconsin Tomzuk titled the sculpture “The Complexities of Life” and Team USA Wisconsin Snowblind titled the sculpture “Forest Jam”. Team members hail from the Milwaukee area.

Lauren Swanson, Public Relations Director for Breckenridge Tourism, said:
An international competition brings snow artists from around the world to Breckenridge. 2023 will see his 32nd annual championship.
The sculpture will be finished on Friday and the sculpture will be on display until February 1st.
Awards include:
- Gold: Team Germany (Bavaria) – Sub-Zero Gravity
- Silver: Team USA (Breckenridge) – Ullr
- Bronze: Team Lithuania – Warning of Crossing Clouds
- ARTISTS’ CHOICE AWARD: Team Lithuania – Warning(m)ing Clouds Intersect
- PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD: USA (Wisconsin – Snowblind) – Forest Jam
