However, I have a problem with one paragraph. The authors allude to drugs crossing the “open southern border” with immigrants. These drugs have been here for years. They are in trucks, cars, planes and boats. Recently, there was talk of a flight attendant being caught in San Diego with his 3 pounds of fentanyl strapped to his body.
The epidemic is not caused by poor families of asylum seekers or other immigrants trying to cross the border.

Southwest Airlines CEO Bob Jordan has apologized repeatedly for the disruption to the company’s December schedule. This resulted in around 16,000 flights being canceled and he probably affected 1 million travelers.
Southwest is expected to offer to cover the cost of the inconvenience. However, in his December 27 video of his message, his words of “double down” were disappointing.

Doubling down on a previous inappropriate corrective action could possibly result in another set of inappropriate corrective actions. In recent years, Southwest Airlines passengers have experienced mild meltdowns due to the airline’s outdated scheduling programs in the 1990s.
Additionally, over the years, pilots and staff repeatedly told management that their outdated scheduling programs needed to be upgraded. If I were on his CEO’s staff, I would advise him to stop saying we’re doubling down and say: Action was invalid. Without these actions, I am not confident that the Southwest will be able to restore public confidence and regain the loyalty of Southwest travelers, myself included.
