So when someone discovered a new ghostless dating app on Twitter, I was prematurely mortified. With more rules and regulations than SAS, the Tame app simply refuses to end a conversation without giving a clear reason.

You can call me Generation Z with no common sense, but this is my personal take on hell. So, naturally, I had to give it a try. This is everything you need to know about one of Twitter’s least popular dating apps – all restrictions included, categorized for your entertainment!

Forget everything you know about signing up for dating apps. You are no longer in Tinder country. This is uncharted territory.
Before adding photos, details, and dating surveys (yes, you’re reading it right), you should first read through Tame’s seemingly endless community guidelines.
I’m not going to bash the app for trying to promote intentional dating. There’s nothing inherently wrong with choosing potential partners carefully in order to get serious.
This seems like a good time to point out that swiping users is forbidden (underline, all caps, bold, offset by 1000 exclamation points). Tame consciously decided not to make it a feature as it is clearly “inhumane”. Instead, you should set up your own dating her survey to answer when a potential match “likes” you. I honestly don’t see the appeal at all unless admin stacks are *your thing*.
Now let’s talk about Tame’s biggest selling point: the no-ghosting feature. If you’ve matched with someone and aren’t feeling it, you should provide feedback before speaking to others. Imagine receiving that message. I think I’ll die
Also, if you have been busy or inactive on Tame for 7 days, this will be classified as “problematic behavior” and your account will be hidden from others. So it’s always better to run it in the background. Otherwise, you’re basically wasting your time.

After setting up your profile, users who like you will have to answer your questions one by one before they can decide on a match, and vice versa. Oh, if someone answered your question but you don’t like the way it looks? yes. you have to tell them I have a pain in my stomach.
Once you’ve decided you’re ready to answer someone’s question, it’ll take you to that weird little DM-y corner of the app and seemingly start a conversation. Because at this point they may still reject you. Tame’s “Chatbot” watches over everything, so technically you’re not alone. i hate it.
After answering the user’s question, the chat remains in the DM with an “in progress” status, and the person decides if you’re too high-ranked to continue the conversation. If they like you, you can continue chatting. If not, you’ll know exactly why.
verdict
I think I’ve made my feelings pretty clear already, but just to emphasize, this is the most anxiety-inducing, self-esteem-destroying, nausea-inducing dating app I’ve ever used. And I think one Twitter user summed it up most hilariously when he said, “This is not a dating app, it’s a hostage situation.”
