People in Wisconsin can recycle their living Christmas trees once the ornaments, lights and other Christmas tree decorations have been removed.

milwaukee
Christmas trees can be composted or turned into mulch at city self-help centers. Click here for a list of opening hours and locations.
Trees can also be picked up for free at regular trash bins. These trees are reclaimed by the Department of Public Works.
Madison
Madison has two tree collections. For those who want the tree picked up in the first round, please place it on your terrace or at the edge of the road by 6:30am on January 3rd. Wood is collected between January 3rd and 13th.
The trees collected in the second round must be placed on the terrace or edge of the road by 6:30 AM on January 17th. The trees he collects between January 17th and 27th.

Appleton
Leave the Christmas tree on the curb on regular garbage collection days from January 9th to 13th.
Waukesha
Public Works will pick up Christmas trees throughout January. Trees should be placed on curbs. The city said there is no set schedule or route for pickups.
Eau Claire
The Merry Multi program is back in Eau Claire through January 31st. Residents may bring their Christmas tree to 5710 Jeffers Road. From 9am to 6pm the trees are recycled into mulch for use in the garden or for planting new trees.
Oshkosh
Residents can put the wood out with their garbage on regular collection days from January 9th to 13th and January 23rd to 27th.
Janesville
The Christmas tree collection is set for the week of January 9th. Residents can place the tree in the club along with their trash on regular collection days.

West Alice
Wood is collected together with ordinary garbage.
lacrosse
After removing the tree decorations, please leave them on the curb by 7am on January 3rd. The tree will be collected from his January 3rd to 6th.
