I would like to travel a little more comfortably, especially when it comes to transatlantic and long-haul flights.
But buying an air ticket at an affordable price is already a headache. It’s almost impossible to buy a ticket at an affordable price, let alone business class.
Generally, you will find that business class ticket prices range from 2 to 10 times the economy class ticket price. However, if you’re lucky, there’s a trick that gives you the chance to travel in business class without spending a fortune.

Fly cheaper:4 of my favorite booking tricks to get cheap flights
This method does not always work as it depends on the availability of business class seats when you check-in 24 hours before your flight.
If you want to travel safely in business class, we recommend purchasing from the beginning. Even if the price is high, you can still have the space. Flexibility as a traveler is a factor in determining the availability of this technique.
The story continues below.
What do I have to do?
► The first step is to look for the lowest possible fare and buy an economy class ticket.
► Next, you need to wait until you receive your check-in email. It’s important to do this as soon as you receive notification, as this is the time when airlines are most likely to have more business class seats available.
► American Airlines, United Airlines, Iberia, British Airways, KLM and others offer the option of upgrading to Business Class, subject to availability. For example, a trip from Puerto Rico to Spain in 2022 was upgraded for $324 each way. Last month it was $469 one way.
This business class flight costs between $2,500 and $6,700 round trip. Using this technique, I spent less than $1,500 on business class flights in total, paying for the lowest economy ticket price and a separate upgrade at check-in. Save up to 60% or more compared to purchasing tickets in this category in the first place.
I’ve used this technique on flights from Mexico to Puerto Rico, Puerto Rico to Chicago, and Puerto Rico to Europe. As a result, we saved a lot of money while having a fun and comfortable trip. So if you’re flexible as a traveler, make note of this technique that allows you to upgrade to business class for a fraction of the original cost.
