How to close apps on Apple Watch

If you need to close apps on your device, we’ve got you covered. The only reason to close the Apple Watch app is if the app is malfunctioning or if you want to remove the app from your recent list for organizational purposes.

Closing apps on your Apple Watch is easy. Find the side button just below the Digital Crown.

• Press side button Tap on your Apple Watch to access the Apps Dock.
• Swipe left on the app you want to close, red x.

How to Force Quit an App on Apple Watch

If the app malfunctions or doesn’t finish normally, you can force quit it. From the app screen side button until the power down menu appears. From there, digital crown Until the app closes and returns to the clock screen.

You can also disable background app refresh to preserve battery life. This feature keeps your app up-to-date and ready when you need it. For example, emails and sports scores keep updating in the background, so the information is available as soon as you open the relevant app. If this feature is disabled, you may have to wait for items or messages to load. On the other hand, disabling background app refresh can also minimize notifications from annoying apps.

• Open S.Settings app on your Apple Watch.
• Scroll down and tap Background app refresh.
  • Tap the toggle next to it to disable all app features Background app refresh.
  • To disable the feature for specific apps only, scroll down and tap the toggle next to the app whose update settings you want to manage.
