The Wonder Twins, Billy & Bobby McClain from Boston, will bring love and happiness to The Dance Complex in Cambridge’s Central Square for just two days, February 25th and 26th. ,” both focus on returning to the level of hip-hop that aims to bring people together rather than separate them.
Billy and Bobby McClain are identical twins who grew up in Boston, Massachusetts in the 70’s. Over the years, the Wonder Twins have created a distinctive style with elements of hip-hop’s technical equipment, Cotton Club’s heyday sophistication, Las Vegas Flash of his Puck era, vaudeville, robots, tap and pantomime. I was. Billy and Bobby also work at Boston Public Schools, serving as advisors and teaching dance as they enter their 19th year.
Their dance career began at the age of 6 on a very small stage, performing for their family at cooking, but they have gone on to perform all over the world. At the age of 10, they were asked to join The Funk Affects, Boston’s first professional street dance crew. During this time they opened for some of the biggest names in hip-hop history. After seven years with the crew, Billy and Bobby branched out to become the “Wonder Twins”. Since then there have been many notable accomplishments including Bobby Brown’s ‘Don’t Be Cruel’ US/UK tour, his UK tour of Apollonia (Purple Rain) and more. They were opening acts for EPMD, Public Enemy and Queen Latifah. Also of TV shows she has appeared on Good Day New York, Evening Magazine and The Jenny Jones Show. In addition, they have performed at the Apollo Theater many times.

Now in its 30th season, The Dance Complex strives to enable dance creation, research and performance by retaining artists, audiences and communities through exciting programs.
