Hip-hop legend De La Soul will finally make his full discography available on the streaming service starting March 3, 2023.
In a statement responding to the news, the trio expressed hope that the discography will be available. “I can’t believe this day has finally come,” said the group. “And we’re excited to share our music with fans old and new.”
To make the announcement, the trio posted a clip of an Amazon Music ad for New York City that read, “Alexa, what’s the magic number?” Artwork from the 1989 debut 3 feet tall and rising Displayed across multiple screens.
They followed it up with a Spotify ad celebrating the announcement, in which the group’s fans said, “You can’t stream De La Soul. You can stream De La Soul while picking petals from flowers. ‘DE is finally here.’ The campaign, named , is one of multiple nods to the release of what many fans consider to be their best work yet.
