In this issue, we introduce former Chelsea Athletic Director and Coach Brad Bush, who has joined the MHSAA staff. Award the game his ball to outstanding players in basketball, swimming and bowling. In “Be the Referee” he concludes the two-part series with Sandusky’s women’s basketball coach Al Her DeMott’s record achievement.

MI Student AidEach week’s 5-minute program will include a feature article from MHSAA.com or a network affiliate, and a 60-second “Be the Referee” showcasing refereeing tricks.

“This Week in High School Sports” is operated by MI Student Aid, part of the Post-Secondary Financial Planning Office within the Michigan Department of Finance.

Born in the early 80s in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Delbert Williams II has always had a passion for writing. Even in high school, he earned excellent grades in English and writing classes.
