HGTV has issued a casting call for local entrepreneurs.
They’re looking for someone who “left their old life behind to start a unique business in a rural or remote area.”
The show is hosted by TV handyman Bryan Baeumler, who helps entrepreneurs with messy renovations.
Here is the full list of HGTV eligibility criteria:
- Projects can be tourism related (small hotels, B&Bs, wineries, farms, brewpubs, B&Bs) or completely new.
- The location should be in a remote small town or rural/remote area.
- The reno should include residential space elements (communal lounge, bedrooms, property manager’s suite, etc.) and business-related areas (commercial kitchen, reception, meeting rooms, etc.).
- Need Brian’s help with money issues, family issues, logistics issues, or serious obstacles in the construction process for all of the above.
- While Bryan is onsite, we need to work with our team to create a burst of activity so that we can help get the project back on track to completion.
- Financing must be secured (with a realistic renovation budget) and the design plans finalized.
- You should be able to secure 6-8 shoot dates over a period of 1-2 weeks.
- Construction should be halfway before we arrive, and the episodes will be filmed over the course of a week or two from spring to late fall 2023.
