Milwaukee — For the past 20 years, Nick Holtzman has made a career out of helping others.
So he opened his own gym called Fit Pro Milwaukee.
“Our mission is basically to make every normal person the best in life,” said Holtzmann.
So, as the New Year approaches, it’s a reminder that the gym isn’t an easy fix to unhealthy habits, it’s a lifestyle.
“The new year is an exciting time. To be honest, people are looking for a fresh start,” Holtzman said. “Vacation is behind you and everything. You have the mindset to focus a little on me now.
He said consistency is everything when setting goals to hit the gym more.
“Consistency is key to success, especially in health and fitness,” said Holzmann.
Holtzman also recommends changing things up so you don’t burn out.
“Keeping things changing all the time not only shocks your body in a way that gives you the results you’re looking for, but it also keeps you excited to come back,” Holzmann said.
Whether it’s your first time stepping into a gym or you’re nervous, he told you not to take the gym’s threats.
“Be confident when you’re here,” said Holtzmann. “It will be difficult at first. Once you come in, know what you’re going for, and get a few successful workouts under your belt, your confidence will continue to grow.” ”
Jahi Moore has been working at Holtzman’s gym for nearly a year. His fitness journey hasn’t been easy, but he said it’s been worth it.
“Be patient, it’s not overnight. You can’t get six packs and biceps overnight,” says Moore. “You just have to eat well. You have to be patient with yourself instead of having your own way, and you’ll be fine.”
Holtzman said you don’t need a gym or even a personal trainer to reach your goals.
“Let’s start with walking,” said Holzmann. “Once you get used to how your body responds to it. Go from there.”
Finally, Holtzman said he will carry on even if he is off track. It doesn’t have to be the new year to start your fitness journey.na
