Apple recently launched Business Connect to make it easier for businesses to claim and optimize Apple Maps locations. It only takes minutes to start a business in single or multiple locations.
Setting up and claiming a location gives you access to view and edit location cards. Also this:

- See the performance and engagement of your places on Apple Maps.
Apple Business Connect offers three different workflows:
- Small and medium-sized enterprises.
- Enterprise brand with 25+ locations.
- Third-party partners who manage data on behalf of other companies and can submit this data via APIs.
This article explains how to get started with Apple Business Connect.
Get started with Apple Business Connect
First, create an Apple ID if you don’t already have one.
Then go to the Apple Business Connect website, select your business type (small, enterprise, or third-party partner) and sign in with your Apple ID.
For brands that rely on third parties to send and access their data via APIs, they still need to set up and claim their first location in Business Connect. Then you have the option to delegate your account to an agency who can add the remaining locations in bulk.
For single locations and small businesses with less than 25 locations, the first step is finding or creating a location.
For Enterprise Business, at the bottom[エンタープライズとして登録]You have to click the prompt that says

For small businesses (Apple considers brands with fewer than 25 locations), search for a location on Apple Maps and select the matching business that appears in the search results, or if the business isn’t listed, click You have to select the option to create a new location. .
When creating a new location, you need to add the address details and make sure the map pin is above the entrance of the location. Precise coordinates can be added if desired.
The next two steps add regular business hours, holidays, and special business hours.
Special hours are described as a custom or temporary set of hours, such as a period of time when a customer has extended or shortened their availability.
Next, you need to add primary and additional categories, websites, and phone numbers. (This is a great resource for finding a complete list of Apple Business categories.)
Apple says additional categories help with searches and can be unique by location.
During setup, Apple will start creating a preview of the location card. According to Apple:
“If you change information about a place in Business Connect, it will appear in this preview. After you submit your changes to Apple for review, it takes up to 3 It may take days.”
The final step in setup is focused on verification. Next, you’ll need to add your company details for verification so Apple can determine if you’re the right contact to manage this location in Apple Business Connect.
To complete verification, you must provide identifiable business documents such as business registrations, utility bills, lease agreements, and a description of the documents.
Business verification can take up to 5 days to process.
Once verified, you can add the following information to your place card:
- A unique description of the business location.
- business attributes or additional features. The types of attributes vary by industry, but include categories such as:
- payment options.
- Reservation type (reservation only, walk-in).
- Accessibility features.
- parking options.
- Toilet type and availability.
- High-tech features (Wi-Fi and air conditioning).
- COVID-19 testing and vaccination options.
- Business model (co-operative, not-for-profit, membership requirements).
- Safety (cooling center, COVID-19 precautions, sheltering).
- smoking parameters.
- Availability of EV charging.
- Atmosphere details (suitable for children, couples and groups).
- Types of pets allowed or not allowed.
- Links to apps that support functionality such as ordering, booking, and booking.
- A photo of your business, including the logo and cover that will be placed on top of the place card. Apple advises that it can take up to three days for photos to be reviewed and published. You can find the photo guidelines here.
- A showcase to showcase timely updates, new features and products for your business. Showcases expire after 30 days unless set to end sooner. Apple may take up to 3 days to review and approve your Showcase. A showcase contains the following elements:
- Photos and image tags (must be added for accessibility and screen readers).
- Short title up to 38 characters.
- A description of the showcase, up to 58 characters.
- One or more calls to action including:
- “Call Now”
- “get directions”
- “website”
- “Share this place”
- “Add to Favourites”
- “Rate this place” – This allows users to provide feedback on their overall rating, food and drink, customer service, and atmosphere. It also encourages users to recommend this place to their friends and family.
Please note that Showcase is only available to companies located in the United States. However, Apple is working to make them available worldwide in the coming months.
