Kingston Economic Development announces new partnership with Futurpreneur Canada. This referral partnership aims to help young entrepreneurs under the age of 40 access funding and mentorship support.
“Futurpreneur Canada is excited to partner with Kingston Economic Development Corporation. This partnership will help us overcome this: access to financing, mentorship and other critical resources needed by entrepreneurs in Kingston and the Kingston area. Kingston Economic Development also represents Futurpreneur Canada and its programs to the Kingston region, identifies individuals who are eligible to participate in the program, and introduces them to designated Futurpreneur Canada team members. Her young entrepreneurs aged 18-39 living in the Kingston area who have a potential business her idea and an existing business that meets the requirements can access funding through this program. Futurpreneur provides funding and professional mentoring for start-ups and includes targeted funding and professional mentoring programs for Indigenous entrepreneurs. black entrepreneurs; and side-hustle entrepreneurs.
“Access to capital has always been a key challenge for both existing and future young entrepreneurs. Kingston Economic Development offers a range of programs to help companies take the next step. However, young entrepreneurs often face additional challenges in accessing the capital they need.This partnership with Futurpreneur Canada not only provides them with funding, but also helps them grow their business. It also helps provide the mentorship needed to sustain a community,” said Norman Musengimana, Startup & Entrepreneurship Business Development Manager at Kingston Economic Development Corporation. “Starting today, entrepreneurs who meet the requirements to access this program are encouraged to express interest, and our business development team is ready to begin supporting them.”
