milwaukee – The Milwaukee Police Department responded to at least five shootings Saturday, July 9.
Four people were killed and three injured in the incident.

A 23-year-old Milwaukee man was shot around 12:40 am and taken to hospital.

At about 1:45 a.m., police announced that a 30-year-old Milwaukee man had been shot dead. It is still unknown what led to the shooting.

Cesar Chavez and Walker
Police said two people, including the suspect, were killed and a third injured in a shooting near El Rey.
The suspected “unidentified” man has died. One of El Rey’s guards, a 59-year-old Milwaukee man, returned fire after the suspect opened fire but lost his life. His third person shot was a bystander identified as a 41-year-old Milwaukee woman who suffered minor injuries.
The case will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office for consideration.
40s and lights
A 36-year-old woman was shot dead at around 9:15 pm. An autopsy was scheduled for Monday.
19th and Glendale
At around 10:50 p.m., a 27-year-old woman was shot and taken to hospital where she survived.

Police continue to investigate each shooting.
