Tory Lanez has reportedly fired his attorney, George Magdesian, and hired Suge Knight and Snoop Dogg’s former attorney, David Kenner.
While awaiting sentencing on Jan. 27, Tory Lanez has decided to part ways with his attorney, George Magdesian. Reported Sunday afternoon by veteran Southern California legal reporter Megan Caniff, Lanez has hired Suzie Knight’s former attorney, David Kenner.
Kenner is best known for representing Knight, Snoop Dogg and Tupac Shakur during the heyday of Death Row records. Kenner was instrumental in Snoop Dogg’s murder trial, which lasted four months and resulted in Dog Father being acquitted of murder, assault and conspiracy charges. We said goodbye in 2015 when the former CEO of Records gave his faith to Matthew Fletcher.
In part of Cunniff’s tweet, she shared a screenshot of Tory’s next court date on Jan. 10, which is on the prison roster. “As for Tory Lanez’s court date on Tuesday, yes, there is a date on the prison roster. It’s not on Judge Hereford’s calendar. Confirmed to me that they are representing,” Kanif tweeted.
As of this writing, it’s unclear what the upcoming court dates are – one thing’s for sure: David Kenner is on board. In response to a question posted by a Twitter user, Kanif said: I recently got into a case. Please give me a time. ”
Cuniff also believes it may be too late for Kenner to join the lawsuit now. “Anyone with practical experience in criminal law (not all lawyers) will tell you that he was a little late in joining the case. It would have been better before the trial.” murmured.
