Madison, Wisconsin — Following Tuesday’s inaugural event, Gov. Tony Evers hosted an inaugural gala at Monona Terrace in Madison.
Tuesday was a night of celebration for Evers in his second term as governor of Wisconsin.
Hundreds of people attended and Evers was greeted with cheers and plenty of musical performances for the upcoming semester.
A live band played music for him and his team to dance to.He danced a polka dance with his wife on stage.
“I won, I won,” Evers said as he took the stage.
Hundreds of people attended to explain how Evers plans to continue the work he started over the past four years.
“We will continue to invest in small businesses. As you know, right now we have one of the best economies we’ve ever had in Wisconsin,” Evers said. .
Appointed as a new Lieutenant. Gov. Sarah Rodriguez said she was honored to help lead Wisconsin and looked forward to her new role.
“Over the next four years, I plan to invest in public schools, grow the economy, and ensure that people have access to adequate health care,” Rodriguez said.
The two will welcome the new semester and the new year as a new team.
