Prime Minister Ashok Gehlot said on Saturday that entrepreneurs, traders and taxpayers play an important role in the state’s economic development.
Gehlot was speaking at a state-level Tax Advisory Board meeting on preparing the 2023-24 state budget.
He said the proposals from entrepreneurs, businessmen and taxpayers reflect positivity and experience, and he said he would strive to include the advisory committee’s proposals in the budget on an annual basis.
He said every possible relief was provided to industry and traders by state governments during the Corona period. The state government made a historic decision to give tourism the status of an industry.
The Prime Minister said today Rajasthan ranks second in the country in terms of GDP growth. This would not have been possible without your cooperation.
According to an official statement, Gehlot said investors today feel comfortable thanks to the innovations made by the state government. The state government provides subsidies of up to Rs 20 crore for agriculture and food processing sectors.
He said providing social security for people in the state is our number one priority. Pensions are provided by state governments to about 10 million people.
The conference was attended by representatives of industry associations related to various sectors such as CII, FICCI, ASSOCHAM, PHD Chamber of Commerce, Rajasthan Chamber of Commerce and Forti.
