Sports betting apps saw the biggest growth since the start of the NFL playoffs weekend, but one streaming app also saw a significant increase in usage.

The DraftKings Sportsbook & Casino app has taken its biggest leap forward. The sports betting app ranked number 170 in the iOS store’s “Top Free Apps” section on Friday the 13th, according to SimilarWeb data, and on Sunday he surged to number 30.
It won the most spots overall, but not as high in the rankings as FanDuel’s SportsBook & Casino app. The FanDuel app ranked number 111 on the Apple app store last Friday, and on Sunday he ranked number 22.
A pair of sports betting apps are trending higher last month heading into the playoffs, and their stocks are following suit.

Comcast Corporation CMCSA saw that too peacock tv Streaming apps gained some ground in app stores over the weekend. After sitting just outside the top 50 on Friday, the streaming app surged to #20 overall by Sunday.
All NFL games airing on NBC are also available on the Peacock TV app. Cable was probably considered the easiest option to watch, but it wasn’t the cheapest, and price seemed to matter most to consumers.
Most importantly, the games available on cable via CBS also of Paramount Global Para Paramount + appStreaming apps saw an increase in usage over the weekend, but not as much as Peacock, and the trends were less clear. The Paramount app’s move appeared more erratic, consistent with last month’s move.
Comcast shares are up about 10% since mid-December, while Paramount shares are up more than 15%.
