Luka Doncic scored 51 points as the Dallas Mavericks extended their sixth straight win on Saturday night with a 126-125 victory over the San Antonio Spurs.
Christian Wood added 25 points in Dallas’ fifth straight win over San Antonio.
Keldon Johnson scored 30 points for Sam Antonio, Jeremy Sochan for 20 points and Jakob Poeltl for 19 points and 15 rebounds.
Doncic scored his third 50-point tally in the last five games with an extra-time win against New York on Tuesday night. This includes his 60 points, 21 rebounds and 10 assists.
Nets 123, Hornets 106
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Kyrie Irving scored 18 of 28 points in the first half and Kevin Durant added 23 as Brooklyn extended their winning streak to 11 as they defeated Charlotte.
Brooklyn led by 10 points in the first quarter, 15 points in the second quarter, 18 points in the third quarter, and 22 points in the fourth, improving to 24-12.
Lois O’Neal and Nick Claxton scored 14 each, Yuta Watanabe scored 11, and TJ Warren scored 10.
Lamelo Bal had 23 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists for Charlotte. Mason Plumlee scored 22 points. The Hornets are 10-27.
Pacers 131, Clippers 130
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Indiana defeated Paul George and Los Angeles as Miles Turner scored 34 points and Tyrese Haliburton had 24 points and 10 assists, including 14 in the final four minutes.
Back in Indianapolis, George led a Clippers player this season with 45 points, while Kawhi Leonard added 24 points, seven assists and five rebounds. Leonard missed his 3-pointer from the right field that would have tied the game at 130. Halliburton then made his throw free with his 5.3 seconds left to extend Indiana’s lead to 131-127. George hit his 3 as time expired.
Buddy Hield finished with 18 for Indiana, Aaron Nesmith with 16 and Benedict Maturin with 15. He shot 52% for the Pacers. The Clippers recorded 16 turnovers while he finished with 54%.
Cavaliers 103, Bulls 102
CHICAGO (AP) — Caris Levert scored 23 points and Kevin Love had 20 points and nine rebounds as Cleveland closed out a three-game skid with a win over Chicago.
DeMar DeRozan scored 21 points and Ayo Dosunmu added 19 points to Chicago’s two-game win streak.
Chicago shot into the winning basket after forcing a shot clock violation with 4.8 left. Cleveland, the NBA’s stingiest scoring defense, forced DeRozan into an off-balance shot as time expired.
Chicago managed only one field goal in the final five minutes.
The Cavaliers also scored 15 points off Donovan Mitchell in the home-and-home series opener. The team will reunite in Cleveland on Monday.
Knicks 108, Rockets 88
HOUSTON (AP) — Julius Randle scored 35 points, Immanuel Quickley added 27 points, and New York snapped the five-game skid by beating Houston.
The Rockets led most of the first half, but the Knicks came out on top just before halftime and held a double-digit lead for most of the second half.
Kevin Porter Jr. had 23 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists for the Rockets on a three-game losing streak. Houston started the game strongly in the first quarter with his 35 points, but the second was abysmal, with just his 14 points allowing the Knicks to close the gap.
The Rockets recorded 24 turnovers, making only 6 of 34 3-pointers after making 8 of their first 12.
