Dangerous Wayz, the eighth studio record from hip-hop artist and former Tarsan Robert C. Daniels II, aka “Dangerous Rob”, will be released this month. The single “I Love You” will be released on Valentine’s Day.
After 30 years of successful business, Daniels thinks this album may be his last. He is ready to help nurture a new generation of talent in his hometown.
“As we head into the new year, I’m looking to focus more on building a management and entertainment company with my record label, Freedam Records,” says Daniels. “We want to work with young artists in the Tulsa and Oklahoma areas to help them build their careers.”
Daniels grew up in Tulsa.Inspired by mixtapes from artists like big daddy kane, Rakim Run-DMC that his cousin brought home from a summer visit to Harlem. While Rogers was in high school, rap battles he participated in were banned from the school halls.
According to Daniels, music saved his life.
“I got into trouble when I was 12 and was on probation until I was 18,” he says. “When you go to jail, people forget about you. It kept me away from bad people.”
Daniels recorded her first album with the Tulsa group THOB-MOB when she was 15 years old. Partners-In-Rhyme followed. In the early days of the internet, he gained a large following overseas by selling and shipping his own albums directly to overseas markets.During his career he has performed with many famous artists LL Cool JNWA, Geto Boys, Tha Dogg Pound, too short, ice cube, Doug E. Fresh, Mike Jones When Ice-T.
For the past 12 years, Daniels has lived in Arlington, Texas and travels regularly to Tulsa, where her daughter is a student at Oral Roberts University. He plans to return to Tulsa soon and use his experience and knowledge to nurture young local talent.
“This trip was everything I could have asked for. No complaints,” says Daniels. “I am a giver, not a taker. Bless people and their blessings will come to them in abundance.”
