frisco, texas – The Dallas Stars announced today that Joan Lovato adopted as Vice President, Marketing.
Lovato’s new role will focus on audience development and ticket sales, corporate partnership activation and strategy, and team coverage on the club’s digital channels.

Lovato joined Stars after serving as Vice President of Brand Marketing for Skillz Inc., a California-based mobile game competition platform that has been integrated into many iOS and Android games. In her role at Skillz Inc., Lovato was responsible for strategic brand development and partnership procurement, facilitating player consideration and acquisition. While there, she managed a pilot her influencer program to drive downloads and engagement for the platform.

Prior to Skillz Inc., Lovato was Head of Brand Marketing for PepsiCo Beverages North America’s West Division. In this role, she led integrated teams across key markets, developed locally relevant campaigns, and developed her 360 brand-building initiatives for the company’s beverage portfolio. A native of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles native has worked with his marketing and marketing partners across sports leagues, including So-Fi Stadium and Chase Center, and organizations such as the San Francisco 49ers, his Golden State Warriors, his Los Angeles Lakers, and Colorado.
