Her father’s new navigation app, Argo, soared to the top of the US App Store charts after her daughter’s TikTok surge.
Earlier this week, Argo’s official TikTok account shared a video of its owner, Jeff Faulk, at a Chicago boat show. I asked you to help me go viral for my dad’s navigation app.
“Help me blow up Dad’s boat app,” she texted above the video. “He’s been working hard on it and just wants people to try it.”
Throughout the 12-second clip, Jeff is seen standing next to a table and holding a flyer at a boat show as guests pass by.
In the caption, she describes Argo’s capabilities: Give it a try and let Captain Jeff know what you think. he will really appreciate it. ”
As of January 19, the TikTok video had more than 19.3 million views, claiming many users downloaded the app.
“I got an Argo for my father and his boat!” wrote one, adding another. But I have a dad that I love so much.. so I know.. ”

Other viewers shared a sympathetic response to the father and praised his daughter for helping him.
“This is so sweet. I never comment. But I always want to support hard working people and loving families!” one wrote.
“I’ll never walk by someone handing out flyers again without at least showing them what I’m looking at. This broke my heart,” added another.
As noted in an article shared on Argo’s site, Argo was the most downloaded navigation app in the app store just days after TikTok went viral. Within days, the app had over 150,000 downloads. As of January 19, Argo ranks as his fifth most popular navigation app.
In the article, Jeff shared his reaction to the boat app going viral, explaining: Then she said she hit her million views and I started paying attention. I was inundated with emails and app comments. ”
Jeff also admitted how shocked he was with the download and thanked his TikTok viewers for supporting him.
“It’s going to take a while to sort everything out, so I hope all the fans (both new and old) will be patient until they do, but I want to thank all the support from so many directions. Thank you very much,” he added.
In another TikTok video shared on Argo’s page, Jeff is seen checking his email and visibly stunned by all the responses he’s received. He also wears a shirt that says “WARNING: App Explained”.
Argo is a free app that helps sailors “find routes to new destinations, share knowledge and connect with other sailors,” according to the app’s official website.
