Sheboygan, Wisconsin — Coworking continues to grow in Wisconsin and across the country.
This is a concept that allows employees to rent desks and workspaces in a central location without needing their own office.

Coworking first became popular in places like Milwaukee and Madison, but it’s now expanded to many of the state’s mid-sized cities.
One example is Sheboygan Works. A coworking space that has grown in popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Paul Kettler is one of the people making the most of this space. Kettler works as a software designer and also has a part-time job helping manage a coworking space.
“It helps people have a work-life balance where they can come here and do their work, stay home when they’re home and keep that life separate,” Kettler said. rice field.
As more people work remotely permanently, Eric Dobbertin, owner of Sheboygan Works, realizes there is a niche in the community that needs to be filled.
In the past, many people were unfamiliar with remote work and coworking, but now they are more aware, he said.
“Most people are familiar with coworking tools and tools used for remote work because they are now being used for schooling and people working,” says Dobbertin. .
Dobbertin says the inclusion of traditional office elements, such as mailrooms and meeting spaces, is what attracts small business owners to the space.
