Egyptian Coptic Christians gathered to attend Mass at St. Stephen’s Coptic Orthodox Church on Christmas Eve Friday night and pray for peace and prosperity in the coming year amid severe uncertainty over the country’s economy.
“We hope that by the end of the year we will be able to achieve economic stability in this country and enjoy the fruits of our efforts so far. I wish you a happy new year,” said Coptic Orthodox worshiper Maged Mourad.
