Milwaukee — A permanent sportsbook at the Potawatomi Casino Hotel will soon take a step towards becoming a reality.
Potawatomi representatives announced Monday that construction will begin on a full sportsbook venue to replace the Northern Lights Theater and Fire Pit Sports Bar & Grill.
Potawatomi Casino and Hotels CEO Dominic Ortiz said: “For over 30 years, we have been a leader in tribal games. The addition of sports betting gives our guests even more options and welcomes new visitors to our property and Menomonee Valley. increase.”
There are 17 kiosks, open 24 hours a day, and two spots where people can place bets, under construction and in the next few weeks, a representative said.
The former Fire Pit Sports Bar & Grill will be one of those locations. At this location, guests can enjoy the largest range of games with a full bar, 8 HD TVs and 1 large LED screen. On his 2nd floor of the property, there is a kiosk just off the skywalk.
A representative said both betting locations have odds boards. For those wishing to place bets, the venue also offers 20 minutes of private parking inside the building.
Officials reminded guests that all bets must be made on site.
The casino’s improvements aren’t limited to the sportsbook. Also underway is his $100 million renovation to his second floor, which is expected to be completed in the summer or fall of 2023. The new modern space allows for new games, high-capacity exclusive rooms, and a new restaurant known as The Rock. & Brews — Founded by Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons of KISS and others.
Several other Wisconsin casinos have sportsbooks, including the Oneida Casino in the Green Bay area and the St. Croix Casino in Turtle Lake.
