Small business owners will get a boost on Monday, Feb. 6 at the Moline Community and Economic Development Authority’s new Business Owner Occupation Stabilization Transformation Program kickoff meeting for small business owners and entrepreneurs. Sessions begin at 6:00 PM at Western Illinois University Riverfront Hall, 3300 River Drive, Moline.Doors open at 5:30pm
The program provides financial assistance to entrepreneurs and current small business owners, giving them access to the tools and skills to make their business endeavors a success, and securing direct funding with forgivable loans. Applicants must attend a business-building workshop and work with a program mentor to develop a business plan, according to the news release. The program targets specific economically-challenged areas of the city, including the Illinois 92nd Corridor, 15th and His 16th Street Commercial Corridors, Avenues of the Cities, Oldtown and Uptown, and the South Park Mall area. said the release.
