Coastal Carolina and East Carolina fans will have the chance to see their favorite teams on the field at Protective Stadium this year at the 16th Annual Ticketmaster Birmingham Bowl. Branden Cornelius, a UAB student, has been working at one of the local businesses in Uptown Birmingham for over a year. He says protective stadiums are really great for business. It’s already a big city, more like a hub. I study biomedical engineering. It’s a medical hub, kind of this new bustling energy, and this stadium in particular is really pushing that towards the growth that we’re seeing,” Cornelius said. He says he plans to attend the Birmingham Bowl and be part of the atmosphere. A local coffee shop prepares its employees for a large crowd of visitors. This will be the first matchup between Coastal Carolina and East Carolina.
