The Women’s Business Club, a national organization for women entrepreneurs, is launching a ‘Coffee & Co-Working’ initiative in Harrogate.
At least 1,000 Coffee & Co-Working groups have been set up in the UK and abroad, and are expected to support women who ‘go alone’ or want to go alone.
The first free-to-attend event will take place on Friday 20th January 2023 at Manahatta, Harrogate.
Monthly coffee & coworking sessions last 3 hours and guests simply purchase their own beverages for the day.
Women can hang out, work, and chat. Alternatively, we can have a more structured session based on the needs of the participants.
Women’s Business Club founder Angela De Souza said:
“The pandemic and various lockdowns are having a greater negative impact on women in business.
“Many women run businesses from home and have had to shift their focus to home education and child care. Since March 2020, the business plan has been frozen or suspended.
“It will be years before some women get back where they belong, but we have noticed that some women want a different career path through the pandemic. We believe collaboration is key to this. We believe there is, and we want to bring these women together.”
One of the founders of the group is Sarah Eddie of SE Tax Professionals, who lives in Falkirk, Scotland.
Joined the Women’s Business Club after starting the business.
she said:
“I started my own business because I felt forced to choose between having a career or being a good parent. was given.
“But if you make that choice, you won’t be able to have the same relationship as your former colleagues because they don’t understand the journey you’re on.
“That’s what I love about the Women’s Business Club. We support each other, we’re not competitive. We’re welcoming, relaxed, and collaborative.”
