WACO, TX (FOX 44) – The City of Waco’s Housing and Community Development Authority has launched a citywide grant program.
According to the city, “We All Win Waco” helps small businesses. The grant will use funds from the American Relief Plans Act (ARPA), along with additional funds from the Tax Increased Financing (TIF) budget and the city’s General Fund, to help small and medium-sized businesses located in historically dilapidated commercial corridors. The application period is now open and will end on February 4th, with funds distributed on March 24th. Eligible companies can receive up to $60,000 in ARPA funding, up to $20,000 in Barriers to Success (some corridors), and up to $100,000 in funding. TIF funding (some corridors). According to the city, eligibility includes small businesses in the city that are located in a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) eligible area as of March 3, 2021 and have fewer than 25 employees.
