Edwards positions himself as a common-sense business owner brimming with “mountain values,” a self-thinking, political outsider unfettered by “Washington swamps,” but that’s fake news. Here he is blatantly trying to mislead voters, pushing the “war with the police” narrative into a swamp he claims he avoids loving, and using his office to make himself Edwards used this same Twitter account several times during the campaign to tell voters that he was the only one running for office.
