14 6:30 PM — The 27th Annual Subcommittee Dinner, sponsored by the Northwest Arkansas Martin Luther King Jr. Council, will be held at the Fayetteville Public Library. The group will award scholarships and recognize the winners of the 2023 Salute to Greatness. Cornell West is the featured speaker of the evening. Tickets are $50, $75, or $125 and sponsorships are available.

frozen toes 5K/15K
Kessler Mountain Regional Park
21:00 8:00 AM — The Frozen Toes 5K and 15K, the city of Fayetteville’s annual cold-weather trail running races, take place at Kessler Mountain Regional Park. According to the organizers, the race is “perfect for runners looking to transition from a 5K or 10K to longer distances, or for runners who want to try their first trail running race. Kessler Mountain’s singletrack trails cover most of the area. It’s technical, but the scenery is worth every step of the course.Take a break from the pavement and try trail running in natural conditions.”
The registration fee is $35 for 15,000 runners and $30 for 5,000 runners. Both groups will receive custom event socks, finisher medals, hot soup, cold beer and more.

5K tutu run and 1/4 marathon
Western Arkansas Ballet
21 9 am — The annual Tutu Run 5K and Quarter Marathon is held along the Greg Smith River Trail in downtown Fort Smith. Participants can run or walk a 5K or quarter marathon. The event is based on chip time and each participant receives a finisher medal.
Pre-registration for 5K is $25 or $35 on race day. The quarter marathon is $35 pre-registration and $45 on race day. Registration and packet pick-up will be at the True Grit Running Company on January 20th from 10am-6pm and at the Riverfront Parks Building on January 21st from 7:30-8:30am.

moonlight masquerade
Northwest Arkansas Junior League
3.7pm — Northwest Arkansas’ Junior League’s 11th Annual Moonlight Masquerade will be held at the Herocrest Event Center in Springdale.
Organizers said:
“Just as Northwest Arkansas Junior Leagues are empowering the women in their leagues, we want to empower ordinary citizens and victims of domestic violence to rise up.
“We’re heading south for a Mardi Gras-themed masquerade ball to the streets of New Orleans.”
Individual tickets to the cocktail wear event, where masks are strongly recommended, are $150 and a table for 10 is $1,250. Sponsorship available.

4 2pm Early Access, 3pm General Admission — The Frostfest outdoor beer festival returns this year to the Washington County Fairgrounds in Fayetteville.
Organizers said: “Produced by Fossil Cove Brewing Company, Frost Fest shines a spotlight on craft brewers, creators and makers while supporting nonprofits in northwest Arkansas.”
A portion of event ticket sales benefit barley, hops and water. Arkansas Brewers Guild; Arkansas Mountaineers Coalition; Ozark Highland Trail Association; and Ozark Off-Road Cyclists.

The event is ticketed and guests must be 21 years of age and present valid ID to enter. Tickets can be purchased online prior to the event at fossilcovebrewing.com/frost-fest. Ticket options include $100 early access, $70 general admission before January 1, $80 admission after January 1, and $30 designated driver admission.
Early access tickets give you access to the festival grounds an hour before the event starts, giving you the chance to sample popular breweries with less crowds, shorter lines and more likely to sell out.

Teen Action & Support Center
4 6-10pm — The annual All in Casino Night will benefit the Teen Action and Support Center and will be held at Rogers’ Embassy Suites. According to organizers, the night will feature casino games such as poker, blackjack, craps, roulette and slot machines. Heavy hors d’oeuvres are served station style. Live Auction and Silent Auction. Two general admission drink tickets or VIP ticket unlimited drink tickets. and cash bar. Entrants have the chance to win raffle prizes and redeem prizes.
