In downtown Greenville, several businesses have closed as they seem to deal with the aftermath of a broken water pipe.
Byrd’s Famous Cookies on Main Street posted a sign on the door saying it was closed due to flooding.

WYFF News 4 has received dozens of calls, emails and messages from people suffering from burst frozen water pipes.
The Easley Fire Department alone responded to more than 60 calls this weekend, including house fires, broken sprinklers and burst water pipes, it said in a Facebook post Monday.
“Business owners who haven’t been to the office or shopping this weekend are encouraged to check today for possible water damage,” the post said.
Authorities have laid out next steps to follow after a burst pipe is found in a home or business.
- Please do not call 911
- Find and turn off the main water supply. If not possible, call the nearest fire department non-emergency number.
- Turn on the faucet to drain any remaining water.
- If renting, contact your landlord or property manager.
- Look for water sources. Finding broken spots allows plumbers to work more efficiently.
The Low Country’s Beaufort Jasper Water and Sewer Authority also suggested the following steps:
