Milwaukee — Imagine summer in Wisconsin. Summer in Wisconsin is filled with sausage race vibes, the crackling of baseball bats, the crackling of barrels unfurling, and the subtle scents of hot dogs and hamburgers cooked on the grill.
That summer dream can become a workplace reality for some Wisconsins.
The Milwaukee Brewers announced Monday that they are recruiting season staff for Game Day 2023.
Some of the season staff will support the Brew Crew and ensure fans have a positive experience at American Family Field.
From ushers to scoreboard operators, there are a variety of roles that organizations seek to fill.
Here’s a little introduction to what each role includes.
American Family Field ushers assist guests throughout the game with ticket validation, general ballpark directions, and more.
As part of the Game Day staff, sell 50/50 raffle tickets before and during home games. Proceeds will be donated to the Brewers Community Foundation.
Guest Relations engages with fans and provides information and assistance as needed.
We also need a retail salesperson. But they aren’t just needed in Milwaukee. Even sunny Phoenix needs it.
Security is another area the Brewers are looking to fill. A parking lot guard monitors the parking lot by bicycle and acts as a liaison between law enforcement, medical and parking personnel.
However, there are some other opportunities if you want a little less interaction.
Imagine being in charge of the 30-acre landscape that surrounds the ballpark and Helfaer Youth Baseball Field. As a member of the Grounds Crew, you can.
But one of the most arguably unique opportunities this year is to become a scoreboard operator.
This role gives you a behind-the-scenes look at the action while assisting with video and audio production for gameday and non-gameday projects. Specifically, operators assist with scoreboard equipment and the editing and recording of production projects.
The Milwaukee Brewers said applications are now open for all positions. You can explore all roles and learn more here.
